According to the report issued by the Industrial Development Bureau; The total number of service activities that were added to the industrial activities reached 547 different activities, as the industrial establishments benefiting from them accounted for 21.5% of the total number of industrial establishments registered in Abu Dhabi, which amounted to 1697 industrial licenses. Rashid Abdul Karim Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Department, confirmed that the high turnout by industrial establishments to add commercial and service activities reflects their keenness and interest in expanding their activities and business in Abu Dhabi, in a way that contributes to enhancing their contribution to the business sector and stimulating trade movement in the emirate.
He said that this decision allowed investors within the industrial sector to increase their investments and expand the scope of their work and activities by supporting them with commercial and service activities that complement them, noting that the services of “onshore and offshore oil and gas fields and facilities” had the largest share of the service activities added to industrial licenses, as 306 establishments built By adding this type of activity to its licenses. The Undersecretary of the Department stated that this decision aims to encourage industrial enterprises to expand their businesses and activities to achieve more profits, and to enhance competitiveness among the various workers in the industrial sector, in a way that contributes to providing industrial products at the lowest prices and with high quality within the local market of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
