How to become a Certifying Body
The potential firms are required to undergo evaluation pertaining to their attributes and experience prior to signing on as a Certifying Body (CB). Following the confirmation, a Service Level Agreement (SLA) will be signed, and a series of training and workshops will be conducted to align the selected CB according to the program. Potential firms can follow the below steps to register as a Certifying Body for the Energy Tariff Incentive Program (ETIP)
Criteria:
Certifying Bodies should be a legal entity with a valid license from the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi
Firm of repute with UAE presence of at least 5 years
Minimum of 20 full-time Staff
Minimum of 10 Staff Qualified from a recognized accounting body (CA,ACCA,CMA,CIMA…etc)
Certifying Bodies shall comply with International standard on related services (ISRS4400)
Should not have been suspended or blacklisted by ADDED or any of the Government entities in UAE
Certifying Bodies should have established Quality Management including risk management System in their organization for conducting engagements

Submit required documents to IDB as per the criteria, through the email: ESP@ded.abudhabi.ae
Select application fulfilling criteria for technical evaluation.
Technical Evaluation by IDB concern committee in the third quarter of each year
Sign SLA with the appointed CB
Training & workshops with appointed CBs
